Tuesday Morning Quarterback

Player of the Week: First repeat of the season, but how can you deny LaDanian Tomlinson his second weekly crown after a 5 week strectch with 15 TDs? Yesterday, LTD rushed for 104 yards with 4 TDs giving him 10 in his last 3. He also tacked on an additional 54 receiving yards to add to his totals. Sure, there were guys with better yardage, but c'mon now...this guy came out in the second half against the Bengals and proved to the world that he is the best player in the NFL today.

News & Notes

Sorry for the delays...still out west so you east coasters at the office will have to settle for some lunch time reading. So here we go...

Puking on the sidelines all night long and he still racks up 149 yards with a TD?? Steve Smith is entering that studliest of studs level now. Either that or Tampa Bay just needs to fold up their tents now.

There really is quite a quarterback controversy in Jacksonville. What a dilemma! Byron Leftwich and his ankle that needs surgery or Dave Garrard and his 4 INTs against a horrible Texans pass D. Gotta give it up for Houston. They may have swept away the Jags' playoff chances along with that season series.

The Brett Favre Farewell Tour looked like a fun ticket in Minnesota.....if your name is Donald Driver.

You'd think the big fantasy story out of the Colts/Bills game would be all about Peyton and Co., but hold on....they may have won the game, but they got bumped by the A-Train and his 100+ yards. McGahee owners who didn't handcuff themselves to the "5 years ago" wonder are bumming right now. Thomas' ressurrection rolls into Houston next week.

Fantasy owners everywhere and NFL teams better start respecting the matchup against the Miami defense. The only fantasy bright spot for the Chiefs was Larry Johnson and even that bulb was dimmer than usual.

Now there's the Frank Gore we remember from week 2!! Too bad he missed the second half with a concussion. The yardage could have been ridiculous with those gaping holes in the Lions' run defense.

Hmmmmm. Neither Andrew Walter nor Aaron Brooks were able to lead the Raiders to success. Maybe it is the offensive coordinator's fault. Maybe Walter's on to something here. Or maybe it's just that he and Brooks suck? We'll see again as Oaktown benches Walter and goes back to Brooks next week.

Picture a world where this past Sunday you had both LTD and Chad Johnson in your active lineup. Ooooooooh, goosebumps!

Mental Note: Eli. Rain. Bad.

Terry Glenn's fantasy value is shooting down the crapper as Tony Romo reconnects with old practice squad buddy Patrick Crayton. Between throws to his best friend and enough looks to keep T.O. quiet, there's doesn't look to be any more room at the inn.

Fear not your matchup against the Ravens defense. After watching the Titans put up 26 points and with the injury to Ray Lewis it looks they ain't so bad. "You see that?!? He's a man!!! He's not a machine!!"

Which could be good for Michael Vick owners. He's gonna need something positive to look forward to as he tries to dig himself out of this hole he's in. Like I said...peaks and valleys.

Since there was no real fantasy value to come out of that game, I too can talk about how ridiculous Belli-chick's behavior has been all year. US Weekly reports that she will also have her "Mangini 4 EVA" tatoo lasered off of her buttocks in the upcoming days.

Clinton Portis hurt. Mark Brunnell done. Jason Campbell in. Redskins out!

That Saints/Steelers game was like dying and going to fantasy heaven. Reggie Bush's first TD, Fast Willie's 200+ yard performance, both QB's hit it big and spread it around. The road to the fantasy playoffs need more games like this.
