Tuesday Morning Quarterback
Player of the Week: It's a bird! It's a plane! It's...it's...Javon Walker!!! Whether he was running the ball en route to his 72 yard rushing TD or flying through the air on one of his two 10 yard TD receptions, Walker was all over the place in Pittsburgh. What was even more impressive was that he led both the Broncos and the Steelers in both rushing and receiving yards (134 receiving/72 rushing). Congratulations Javon! News & Notes
So Oaktown loses its 2 game win streak, but one streak they kept going was their 167 minute Monday Night Football scoreless streak. Welcome back to reality, Raiders fans! I'd say you can blame it on the weather, but was that Maurice Morris looking like Walter Payton rushing for 138 yards against you?
Well, well, well. It's lookin' like 1985 all over again, huh Bears fans? No, not another stupid team comparison; just situational. The spirits of Griese and Csonka seem to run wild when the Bears are flirting with an undefeated season. Kudos to the Fins for bringing their A game once again.
Fact: Rex Grossman loses serious fantasy value without Bernard Berrian.
Fiction: Joey Harrington will use this victory as a springboard to a great fantasy second half.
I didn't think Tiki was ever getting in the endzone. Thanks Houston. Maybe now this will open up the floodgates. The yardage has been great, but it's about time he regains his status as a top fantasy RB1.
Now this is the Detroit Lions fantasy owners have been waiting for. Roy Williams and Kevin Jones are thriving in Martz' new offense. Just wait til they get someone better than Kitna.
Peaks and valleys, Michael Vick owners. Welcome to the valley.
So I asked on Saturday which Vikings team was gonna show up? I guess none of them did. Atleast the Niners had Joe Nedney.
LTD!!! Once again proving that he really only needs half a game to pull out a victory for your fantasy team. No one really thought the Browns were gonna shut him down, did they?
Who'd a thunk it?!? The Bills ride to victory on the A-Train? Willis McGahee continues to be a huge fantasy bust and has left his owners scrambling to grab Anthony Thomas from the waiver wire. Good luck with that.
Welcome back Jake the Snake!! Your 2 week "perform or else" period is up. Congratulations. You've managed to keep your starting job. It's the bench for Jay Cutler and flowers and candy for Javon Walker.
Fast Willie Parker getting it done against the high powered Broncos defense. Too bad Big Ben had a Harrington-esque day. 7 INTs in the last 2 games? Maybe someone needs to take some concussion healing time after all.
Peyton Manning walking a little taller this week without that huge ass monkey named Bellichek riding on his back. Someone's buying Marvelous Marvin some real fancy presents, huh?
Welcome back to the Bungles, Cincy fans. Their mascot should be changed to 'Nuke' LaLoosh. They all got million dollar arms and five cent heads.
Don't go crazy grabbing Devery Henderson just yet. He still takes a back seat when Joe Horn comes back. Jeez these Saints look good! Like a damn fantasy goldmine over there.
From a fantasy standpoint it was about average, but in reality, that Cowboys/Skins game was some crazy s**t!!!
Yes, yes. We know. Vince Young needs to work on his passing game. Atleast he finally connected with Drew Bennett.
If Dave Garrard is the starting QB for the Jaguars, then yes...Ernest Wilford should be picked up immediately.
Now that's the Steven Jackson fantasy owners have been waiting for. When they said they were getting him more touches in the second half, I said I'll believe it when I see it. I believe it.
Question of the Week (well, maybe for next week): Am I picking up Trent Green off my waiver wire or is Herm Edwards gonna manage to not screw up his team?
